KMC X11EL 11 Speed Chain, Silver, 118L

In use, this chain shifts smoothly and runs just as it should. There's not a lot else to say on that front: it just gets on with it. You only really notice a chain when it doesn't do those things. Where this chain does score is in its durability. Three months down the line it hasn't stretched at all and the titanium nitride coating is still looking good. There's some wear, as you'd expect, but I'd say that coating is doing its job well. The shifting is way better than with my worn out Shimano 9 speed chain, the only downside is that I have to replace the pulleys before the chain, the chain seems to get the wear on the pulleys. I always thought I needed to replace my chain before my cassette, but that is no longer the case. Good chain. I have always been a big fan of KMC chains. This one works well on my 11spd campy set. A chain whip works, but is difficult to master, and has too open of a profile, allowing chains to slip off easily.
