Relive the glory days of Dennis Mortimer and Villa’s European conquest with these timeless keepsakes. Mortimer joined the Football Association education coaching department in 2008 where he worked until the end of 2015. We have carried out private and public autograph signings with many sports stars covering football, boxing, rugby, motorsport and film. This snapshot not only captures a significant milestone in Dennis' personal life but also showcases the importance of family amidst a successful sporting career. He worked for The Professional Football Association as regional director of coaching in the Midlands area from 1996 to 2005.

Aston Villa skipper Dennis Mortimer celebrates the joyous arrival of his first child, Richard, in this heartwarming photo print. As an accomplished footballer himself, Dennis playfully ponders whether little Richard could follow in his footsteps and become another budding star for Aston Villa or even represent England in the 2000 World Cup. He wrote on international cricket for organisations such as Reuters, the Associated Press, The Sunday Telegraph and the Daily Star Sunday before starting his own sports management company, Big Star Creations. In this autobiography, Mortimer lifts the lid on the highs and lows of his time at Villa and shares stories galore about the many characters he met through his life in football. The captain of the Aston Villa team that claimed victory over Bayern Munich at the 1982 European Cup Final, Dennis also displayed his incredible skills as a leader and set himself up to be a standout figure of the clubs history. He became a journalist in 1994, writing predominantly on Warwickshire CCC and Aston Villa for Midlands newspapers. I love being a part of this club, love being captain, love everything this club stands for both on and off the pitch.

In January 2024, Mortimer was named by Aston Villa as a member of the Honorary Anniversary Board ahead of the club's 150th anniversary season. Considered as Aston Villa greatest captain ever, Dennis Mortimer was the man who lifted the European Cup in 1982. As he gazes through the lens with determination and focus, one can't help but wonder what he might capture next – perhaps another iconic sporting moment or an intimate glimpse into life behind-the-scenes. Mortimer was capped by England at youth [7] and under-23 level [8] and captained England B, [9] [10] but was never capped for the full England team.
