What does that mean though? It means that the light thinks my room temperature is 14°C or 41°C. That’s far (or very far) off – my room temperature is around 22°C. It also means that there’s only a tiny window of operation before the light hits the thermal ceiling as programmed (probably 50°C but I’m not sure). It’s not possible to measure amps on this light as it requires the body to be disconnected from the head to access the battery. As always, I took my measurements at 30 seconds after turn on. The lowest modes didn’t quite meet specifications, but the fresnel lens proved its worth in the higher modes as I measured over 13,851 cd on turbo, pushing the throw 21 meters farther than spec! Sofirn has released the SC31T, a tactical flashlight similar to the SC31 Pro. This dual switch light uses a Luminus SST-40 and has good throw. Powerful Performance: The Sofirn SC33 is equipped with a boost driver, delivering impressive performance and maximizing the output of its high-quality LED. Experience enhanced brightness and performance.

For reference, here’s a baseline shot, with all the room lights off and almost nothing hitting the sensor. Also, here’s the light with the worst PWM I could find. I’m adding multiple timescales, so it’ll be easier to compare to the test light. Unfortunately, the PWM on this light is so bad that it doesn’t even work with my normal scale, which is 50 microseconds (50us). 10ms. 5ms. 2ms. 1ms. 0.5ms. 0.2ms.In a display faster than 0.2ms or so, the on/off cycle is more than one screen, so it’d just (very incorrectly) look like a flat line. I wrote more about this Ultrafire WF-602C flashlight and explained a little about PWM too. User Interface and Operation Part of how they did this is by making lights we want to buy, selling them for cheap, and catering to the customer while improving and launching new products. So far it’s worked, since if you identify as a flashlight enthusiast, you probably have a Sofirn light. Enhanced Color Rendering: The Sofirn SC32 HCRI flashlight is equipped with a high-quality Nichia LED featuring a high color rendering index (CRI) to provide accurate and vibrant color representation, making it ideal for tasks that require precise color identification. Interestingly the Highest of the stepped modes also steps down pretty heavily, again to around 200 lumens. I don’t observe low voltage protection when testing with the bench power, but I’m assured Andúril has it! The numbers are down a bit on the higher settings, but close. The included cell is only good for about 10 amps CDR, so I wasn’t expecting big numbers. I tried a Sony VTC6 and ran the test again. The lower modes didn’t show much of a gain, but Turbo and High were another story: Turbo jumped to 1983.7 Lumens, and High hit 846.6 Lumens. I suspect if you bypass the springs, it would go up even more.

This is a solid performer at a low cost. The dual switch interface make it reasonable for tactical purposes, as do the dual springs. USB-C charging works well, too. Output doesn’t quite hit the specification, but more importantly, the throw does. Long Review The Big Table Sofirn SC31T Tactical Flashlight Sofirn has made quite a name for themselves, churning out affordable, highly functional flashlights for the masses, and they keep getting better. Sofirn keeps their finger on the pulse of the marketplace and knows what’s hot and what’s not, so if something isn’t stirring the Kool-Aid, they fix it. The SC31T is a perfect example of this. Tactical-style flashlights are hot items, and every big-name manufacturer makes one (or more). I’ve been able to test some of the best on the market, and have a good idea of what makes a tactical light, well, tactical. Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) technology: ATR will adjust the brightness level automatically when the driver temperature reaches 55℃ (122 °F) to prevent overheating. I compare everything to the KillzoneFlashlights.com 219b BLF-348 because it’s inexpensive and has the best tint! Conclusion What I like

Throw was measured at 5 meters indoors using the Uni-t UT383S lux meter. I used the fully charged included Sofirn 3000 mAh 18650 battery for the test. Readings were recorded at 30 seconds. Mode Yes. The LED indicators in the side switch will flash red rapidly, and when the battery hits 3 volts, the light steps down to a very low level. After a while, the light will shut down. I think this alignment of the switch LEDs is pretty normal… if you’re expecting them to be on… some… other axis, then this might not be the light for you. ATR technology: ATR will adjust the brightness level automatically when the temperature of the light reaches 55℃ (122 °F) to prevent overheating.

To obtain these numbers, I used a very rudimentary integrated shoebox and ceilingbounce on my Samsung Galaxy S10. Measurements have been calibrated using a standardized calibration light provided by 1Lumen. Tail E-Switch for Easy Operation: The SC33 is equipped with a convenient tail e-switch, making it effortless to operate with just one hand. Experience seamless mode switching and effortless brightness adjustment with this user-friendly design. With 6 brightness levels and 3 special modes (strobe, SOS, beacon), the SC33 offers versatility to adapt to various situations. Whether you need a focused beam or a signaling function, the SC33 has got you covered. Enjoy intuitive control and a hassle-free lighting experience with the Sofirn SC33. In my review copy of the Sofirn SP35 ATR flashlight is a Luminus SST-40 emitter, in 6500K. This emitter is surrounded by a smooth and quite deep reflector.

To ensure that you get the desirable product, we allow a seven-day product return period. Any product return application outside this period will not be entertained. Here’s a UI table! There are two groups on the Sofirn SC32 Mini Tactical flashlight. That’s another way (probably really “the” way) that this is a tactical light. State If the battery doesn’t have enough power when turn on, the LED indicator will flash red to signal critical power.
