The woman problem gets investigated as well, on two realistic yet sensitive tracks, "Butter" and "The Infamous Date Rape.

Rare import remastered NRP cut issue of this truly dope Hip Hop album feat 'Excursions', 'Verses From The Abstract', 'Jazz' and 'Scenerio'. de la Soul are remembered as the premier Native Tongues posse, those rappers who got low-key, self-consciously thoughtful, and jazzy in the face of gangsta's hardcore threats. The Jungle Brothers' Done by the Forces of Nature is my personal favorite album from the Native Tongues era. From 2016 to 2018, he worked as a senior editor at Bandcamp Daily, where he gave an editorial voice to rising indie musicians. The debut had fewer tracks than the double LP now available (omitting Pubic Enemy, and ending after Ham And Eggs). I have them both on CD and am not interested in making a straight-up nostalgia purchase if it turns out these records sound like complete crap. VG/EX means that the item's sleeve is in Very Good condition and the disc is in Excellent condition. However, the negotiations between the group and Jive lasted over a year and strained their relationship.

It's here on exclusive 2LP Green + Red colored vinyl, plated at Welcome to 1979 and pressed at GZ, with lacquers cut by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound. The album was primarily produced by group member Q-Tip, with a minimalist sound that combines bass, drum breaks, and jazz samples, in a departure from the group's debut album, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm (1990). I used to own the first two albums on vinyl(including the US promo which supposedly only 500 copies were pressed) and had forgotten about they had shortened the running time of both by omitting tracks.

The majority of the recording sessions took place at Battery Studios in Manhattan, from 1990 to 1991, where the songs were recorded on a Neve 8068 mixing console that had been used by John Lennon. Second studio album from the trio of Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad originally released in 1991 is considered one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. It was awarded a perfect five mic rating in The Source, with reviewer Reef lauding their "progressive sound" and "streetwise edge", adding that "there's no sophomore jinx to be found here—only real hip-hop.
