This is a real mystery and crime read to sink your teeth into which will have you immersed, well it did for me. The Moral ambivalence of a policeman allowing his sons to lie around smoking marijuana is a mystery to me. The jury heard detectives had identified footprints left at the scene to a limited edition pair of trainers.There are oddball locals; inept drug dealers and some too cunning for their own good; plus weed growers, drug smugglers, Albanian mobsters, and bent coppers.

As we get to know the potential suspects for the crimes - which increase rapidly - it would seem there is no connection between victims. The majority of the story is told through the investigation but we do get to hear fleetingly from a killer from his perspective, those sections are particularly chilling! There were moments where I dreaded turning the page or I almost had to read through my fingers as I feared what was awaiting me over the page.
