I also was surprised after reading the book, the amount of families who included more than one generation living under one roof. It is evident to say that although phrases and words in different languages are present, the English language is still the overarching language being used.Also on some pages they had the language that is native to that country, so that could present as a challenge for soe kids, but also be a great growth cultural took. Within the travels, we learn about each country's language, climate, wildlife, landmarks, and traditional food.

He visits Canada, Costa Rica, the United States, France, Morocco, Greece, Jordan, Botswana, India, China, the Philippines and Australia. I would use this in my classroom to introduce history and possibly make a fun activity to go with it. The illustrator adeptly captures the emotional enthusiastic feel about knowing new places and cultures around the globe. This book is anti-bias because the characters in the book are from all over the world, there are 13 different countries covered in the story across all 6 inhabited continents. This would help me as a reader understand the words being used and how to correctly pronounce each one.For each country we learn about its culture, the people that live there, the languages spoke, food eaten, and so much more. I Enjoyed reading this book because I was able to learn new information about different countries and compare and contrast to my country with the similarities and differences. This book is about a little boy that takes an adventure around the world to different countries and you get to learn different facts about cities and the cultural customs in that country. The author and illustrator really worked together in his book, with easy-to-read blurbs of facts and fun, positive pictures of the things that the author was describing. An unnamed boy with a mop of chestnut brown hair visits friends in 13 countries, offering readers a world tour via his first-person narration as he samples foods, views landmarks, and attends cultural events, among other activities.

A Ticket Around the World will leave young readers feeling like they’ve toured the globe without ever having left home. This is a great book elementary students who have a more advanced reading level as there are many words on the page in different locations.This story's main objective is to teach the reader about different languages and cultures in a fast-paced manner. A Ticket Around The World makes learning about history, geography, language, and culture just as fun as traveling to a new place.

The vivid and bright illustrations help draw the reader in and make the reader eager to turn the page. The book's physical design is double-page spreads that seamlessly weave text and images, capturing the rapid succession of events within the narrative. Additionally, it instills in children the value of travel and adventure in helping them to extend their perspectives and gain a better understanding of the world. The background being a map of the place being visited and there being bubbles of famous landmarks and the tour guide learning to do different activities common to the area with other kids and their families. It gives information about the animals that live there, the food the people from that country eat, and their culture.

The illustrations of Kim Smith are world-class and the lively depictions of each country bring the narrative to life, engaging the readers and creating an immersive reading experience. The artistic elements are extreme, this book has a lot of text so I would not recommend students to read on their own, however doing it as a class and integrating it with content and a lesson plan would be a fun filled week.
