About this deal

Brusho is manufactured by Colourcraft Limited established in 1978, a family run business based in Sheffield, in the UK.

Colourcraft Colours and Adhesives LTD did not ask me to review them, or any other company for that matter, or even knew that I planned to do so. For this reason “professional” paints include ratings of each colour’s permanence along with other relevant technical information. Dilute Drop 2 – Dilute Brusho squeezed from an eye dropper onto wet paper and tilted to let the color run. These last two paintings, where I added the powder to wet paper, and only used the dilute to create essential detail are my favorites, and I’ll probably use this technique the most.

I tried tapping a small amount of the powder onto the dried paper and then spray misting and got a fun splatter effect.

Use a little palette or plastic plate or acrylic block, or even spare watercolour paper to sprinkle a good amount of the Brusho. Brusho paints can be layered on top of each other exactly the same way as ordinary watercolour, with each layer affecting the colour below.

You can darken an existing colour, brighten or change its hue, simply by layering up one colour over another.

It’s cold-pressed but has a softer, more textured surface and no surface sizing, so it’s more absorbent. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.
