As everyone’s homes and electricity usage are different, this is a hard question to answer definitively. So, we turned to Joanna O’Loan, the Energy Saving Trust’s Knowledge Manager, for an expert opinion. After the tests were complete, we looked at the retail price of their product. We evaluated the price in conjunction with the electric patio heater’s performance during tests to assess the overall value of the product. We also rated the product for its setup, heating performance, ease of use, and safety. If you were to try replacing the use of your central heating by putting an electric heater in each room, it will definitely end up costing much more.
