About this deal

After owning CWP for a short time now, it has grown on me. I now appreciate what it is meant for. A clean dumb reach with a modern feel. This is a really hard scent to rate. I love having it because I can overspray before working out or just heading out to the store and not worry about running out. It's a nice scent but it's obviously nothing all that unique and the performance is pretty bad. In the heart, sandalwood, neroli, geranium, and jasmine weave a tapestry of elegance, while the base sings of musk, oakmoss, tobacco, cedar, and ambergris, a symphony of the elements. Cool Water transforms the air, a testament to its lineage—a game changer that introduced aquatic scents for men. It stands among the best, a fragrance that speaks of nostalgia and seduction, reminiscent of Green Irish Tweed by Creed with a hint of Armani's Acqua di Gio. i'm going to preface this review by saying i am biased - i have strong nostalgic and emotional ties to this cologne.

For me this smells like a Chanel de Bleu EDT (that I own) stripped of all the extra citruses, ginger, Iso E Super, and other notes. To my nose it just retains the citrus in the top, with clean full vetiver and sandalwood. What Coty has done is adding vetiver to a citric peppery and creamy sandalwood scent and they have done a good job. The fragrance follows a current trend using pink pepper and even though it is not listed i personally sense a light Tonka vibe as well. Lilly Gets A Splash Of Cool Water". The Internet Movie Database. 17 July 2008 . Retrieved 29 September 2012. The head is not brief but certainly short-lived. However, it’s the heart that’s particularly fleeting. If you don’t remind yourself to smell it in time, you’ve likely already missed it. I have been wearing Cool Water these days, this is not particularly fabulous, but I think that Calone and high amounts of Evernyl (Oakmoss) work really nicely. This is pleasant to my nose. This is primarily aroma-chemicals based and I think this actually always was, starting from 80xx. Some citrus compounds are noticeable in this as well, I believe lots of Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool and Ethyl Linalool are very much appealing in this together with some green raw materials like Cis-3-Hexenol maybe in small amounts.I just got a bottle that smells like OG cool water and it lasts 6+ hours. Almost afraid to re-apply throughout the day. I see the comparisons to Sauvage. I really dislike Sauvage - there is an accord in this that is super similar to what's in the base in Sauvage, but in a strange way I really like it. It's in the dry-down you can catch the similarity. This is Sauvage grown-up and lost his hormone-fueled throwing tantrum behavior, and upgraded his clothing style as well. Gone are the neon-color hipster glasses for a slim-fit, edgy outfit and you mignt not recognize him at first. This is a little quieter than other blue scents and stays closer to the body. Projects in the beginning, but it gets closer afterward. It's a bit more stealth. I went to a quieter, calmer bar and I didn't want to scream or distract people from our conversation, but still be detectable. That worked perfectly for the occasion. I have written a review earlier..,but just want to remind myself, that this is a Calone-Evernyl bomb. Sadly, this perfume as an old school classic had gone through severe reformulations and now this is more of Aftershave Lotion, than a perfume actually.

It says on the box " we have taken the original and added some vetiver" and I have to say no....you did not. If you took the original and added some vetiver it would smell different. As a kid, I thought Cool Water was simply the most incredible fragrance I ever smelled. It was a "soul satisfying" scent to me, and it evoked memories and nostalgia from a time I never even had. It was simply incredible, refreshing, and amazing, and STRONG. No comparisons to Sauvage which was a bit of a let down for me, since I was looking for an ambroxan heavy fragrance. Ohh right! It doesn’t have any ambroxan so if that’s what you’re after keep looking. if you want just a stronger version of the original cool water forget about it because that's what this is definitely not.

Despite being an iconic fragrance from nearly 30 years ago, it is still a cologne best worn by younger men. Its sprightly properties tend to work best with men in their early 20s or even having just entered adulthood. Best Perfumes For Men: Top 5 Timeless Classics | Euromentravel.com". euromentravel.com .
