About this deal

Interchangeable Springs to adjust the Pedals push resistance (2 already fitted inside the unit / 2 for swapping)

I mounted the Pedals onto a Wheelstand Pro V2 for Logitech Saitek Controls which already had my V1F mounted to it. The Pedals dont fit the stand directly as it simply wasnt designed for that, but with the included screws and a bit of craftsmanship they can be easily mounted into any existing setups with no problems. Another great feature are the interchangeable Pedals. You can swap the larger ones to smaller steeper ones which resemble the Pedals of GA Aircraft. Again you are able to customize your Pedals to your likings and find the Pedals you feel most comfortable with or change them regulary depending on the Aircraft you are flying.

There aren’t a lot of pedals out there for flight simulation, but to say that the few that exist vary wildly would be a huge understatement. Let’s look at their primary differentiators and characteristics, and why they might matter. To bind the Pedals in MSFS you just need to go into the Control options, select the “VelocityOne Flight” and search for the Rudder Axis. Simply Scanning for input and moving the rudder will bind them. The same applies to the brakes. The process is pretty easy and straight forward. Really discouraged. I think they designed and built a really great product but the software, or interface, or MSFS links, or whatever is being blamed lately, is just a complete lemon. For everyone that was maybe looking forward to use the VelocityOne Pedals with other Hardware, like the Thrustmaster Hotas One, and hoped beeing able to connect them directly to the Console might be a bit disappointed. The VelocityOne Pedals need the VelocityOne Flight on Console to work. In MSFS 2020 Control Options, make sure your brakes are mapped to L-Axis 13+ and L-Axis 14+ — NOT to L-Axis 13 and L-Axis 14 without a plus sign ( + ) after the numbers.

Confirm that moving the VO Rudder axis on the pedals and the two toe brakes results in a test bar appearing on the Training screen. If not, the hardware is not configured correctly.

Quantum Error review — Admirable failure

Folks, I had the exact same issue as jimj2001. A good samaritan at cust support at VO sent me this and it fixed the problem. The trim is still set at -99 at first flight (Crazy…) but at least brakes work :).

All of this to say, there’s as much an art as technique in smoothly turning a plane without ending up in a situation where you are either causing additional stress on the airframe or burning your fuel unevenly from your tanks. While Flight Simulator doesn’t take into account uneven fuel consumption between your tanks (or at least that I know of), it very much takes into account how well you step on the ball. Mastering this technique is one of the most important parts of flying smoothly, both in real life and in the simulation, so if you intend on either learning the craft for real, or just want to make your game as realistic as possible, you’ll want pedals. An update (v.1.3.0) for VelocityOne™ Flight Control System is available through the Turtle Beach Control Center app. This adds Status Indicator Panel communication lines in Xbox Input Mode, Auto-Chronometer enabled for both PC and Xbox, and additional bug fixes and updated Training Mode assignments for SU10. Even if the pedals are in Xbox mode, you may still need to go into the Accessory section on the VOF and enable the Rudder entry. The other function you’ll find at the tip of your toes you won’t find on cheaper pedals – a differential braking system. Just like stepping on the ball is an analog motion and feeling, brakes are also an analog action. You’ll want to gradually apply the brakes, not just slam them on full blast as soon as you land. The Velocity One Rudder Pedals sport a set of spring-actuated brakes you apply by pushing your heels towards the ground. These are individually controlled, so you can adjust your plane’s trajectory on the ground with gentle left and right brake applications to steer onto your centerline. When you release your heel pressure, the brakes release, as they should. After releasing the “VelocityOne Flight” to some success, Turtle Beach is releasing its second Flight Sim related Product. The VelocityOne Rudder will expand the already released Yoke with a set of Rudder Pedals to further enhance the immersion of flying from home. The Yoke needs Firmware 1.3.0 or greater to Support the Pedals. If you are running an older Firmware you need to update your VelocityOne Flight system. On the Yoke´s FMD use the arrow keys to navigate to “06: Accessories” and activate the Pedals once connected. On Console the Pedals connect easily with the included Pass-Through-Cable to the VelocityOne Flight. A Button with an accompanied LED lets you easily switch the Input Mode between Console and PC. The VelocityOne Rudder releases on October 31st 2022 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. For this review, as always, we take a look at the Pedals on the Xbox Series Consoles. Whats in the Box? A hot patch update (v.1.3.3) for VelocityOne™ Flight Control System is available through the Turtle Beach Control Center app. This fixes some bugs and improves device stability.
