About this deal

Carbon Fiber Soundboard] Rising-G selected the VocalTech full carbon fiber soundboard after 79 acoustic tests. Carbon Fiber's damping is constant across the acoustic spectrum, resulting in a treble that rings with crystalline clarity to a warm bass without being muddy. It releases energy more freely during vibration, that's why it brings you a richer layering of sound and prolongs resonance.

Despite its already affordable price, the Donner DAG-1C comes with everything a beginner needs – from a padded gig bag to a digital clip-on tuner, and even an Allen wrench! The guitar arrived for the most part not set up. The action was high and the truss rod set without tension. One half turn of the truss rod and removing the two shim strips under the saddle solved the problem. It could use some work at the nut also. Intonation was acceptable. Of course, as a low-budget guitar, it has some cheap parts such as the saddle and the nut that need to be upgraded. There are also some sharp fret edges, but it is not a serious issue. I can’t deny it…I just love cheap guitars that are actually good. When you have bought a guitar and find out that it offers outstanding value for the money, it’s a good feeling. You might have gotten even more than you paid for.

Headless Guitars have been/still indeed are all the rage. They look like something from Star Trek, and they lead to convenience and Avant guard design. In this review, I'm going to be diving into a new offering from the music gadget company Donner. This is a silent acoustic guitar that could fit most conceivable places.

When you decide to start learning to play guitar the initial step is to shop for your first instrument. But choosing the right guitar can be confusing and challenging when starting your journey to be a guitarist. There are many aspects to take into account, from the price to the playability and sound of the instrument.

Table of Contents

Like most of the guitars, you can upgrade the parts of Donner DAG-1C to have a more solid piece of instrument. There are 3 parts that need to be upgraded on this model, in my opinion. These parts are the nut, the saddles, and the string pins. Nut

On the other hand, the brass strings on this guitar deliver a bright metallic sound. It’s also easy to play, so playability isn’t an issue, either. Its impressive tonal quality and brighter sound also make it perfect for a variety of playing styles and guitar playing skill levels.First, some of the bad stuff. The action was too low out of the box and that caused some fret buzz and a not-so-fun time playing this axe. So I had to do a little setup before the guitar was playable. High Stability] Rising-G acoustic guitars are durable, with temperature and humidity having no effect on carbon fiber, as it still works well under temperatures ranging from -4℉ to 176℉. RISING-G PRO deliver consistent performance no matter the environment. Donner electric guitars are solid beginner and budget guitars. They offer great value, often come with accessories, are usually smooth playing, and sound good. Of course, sometimes Donner guitars suffer from budget guitar problems such as: In general, they are no worse than other cheap guitars but don’t expect perfection either. Are Donner Guitars Good for Beginners?

While briefly swapping strings to try a lighter set (which did not change the setup, probably thanks to the carbon fiber), one of the bridge pins snapped off. I was using a Music Nomad bridge pin puller, not some makeshift tool. Fortunately, I had a few spare pins.

Donner HUSH-I Travel Guitar

Also, players who want a basic acoustic guitar to play from time to time can prefer Donner DAG series. If you want an inexpensive guitar to play around with, you surely go with this model. My main consideration is the body itself. The top is very thin carbon fiber (so they say). The body seems to be ABS. Examining the inside, there is no bracing of consequence. There are only two 1/8" finger braces across the body, each radiating from a bridge plate. They are a good 1" short of meeting the sides. In fact, under the stress of standard tuning the top deflects 1/8" just above the bridge towards the bass side. Any more deflection would affect intonation and possibly cause separation at the top edge. It would seem that one of the main functions of carbon fiber would be to resist bending. The top to side lining is partially kerfed on corners but mostly just a thin strip of plastic. There is plenty of cement squeeze out and run.
