About this deal

O: "Oh, Christ! (in italics) I have to endure an interview with the persistent Miss Kavanagh for the WSU student magazine. Why the f --- did I agree to this? (italics) I loathe interviews -- inane questions from inane, ill-informed, vacuous idiots. The phone buzzes.

In spite of all the dark issues this book explores there are a surprising number of light and fun scenes and we get to see our beloved Fifty acting carefree and playful. I love his boyish delights in the simple things, like the gifts Ana gives him. It’s so adorable and while it made me grin it also made me a little sad thinking of all he missed out on growing up because of the things that happened to him. But it was great seeing him get to experience some of those things now with Ana.

James has captured this archetypical man for us and put him in the modern world. Many serious and not-so-serious writers try but fail and we get literary crap or porn or shallow attempts at romance. She has done it without having an educated literary skill or technique. And she is learning. I will continue to buy every book she writes. But, this still isn't the character I saw in the original series. The bite has been removed from this man. He could be any twenty-something male, instead of the man who started his own company and ruthlessly made it a success in 6 years. A man who had so much money that he literally was king of his world. Yes, he was self-absorbed and self-important. But, he also had a right to be arrogant, and his accomplishments made him an important man. So it wasn't just in his own mind; it was earned. When he told Ana in the original book that she should be intimidated, I felt like he was simply telling the truth. He was such an important man in his world, and she was an innocent college senior with basically no accomplishments to speak of, and he honestly felt that she should feel that way. Yet, this Christian was insecure and wondering if he could intimidate her. Although he's supposed to be incredibly good looking, as well as incredibly wealthy, and women were always wanting him, this Christian constantly worried that she might not like him. All three novels from Christian's point of view in EL James's #1 New York Times bestselling Fifty Shades of Grey series—now available in one e-book bundle. I don't understand people who were upset because it wasn't a different story. You can't change the dialog from one story to the next. The people are going to be saying the same things.

I just recently re-read this book. With the FSOG movie just a few days away my friend and I decided to read that one again, but of course you can’t just stop there so we decided to keep going and re-read the entire trilogy. I remember when I originally read the series about 3 years ago Fifty Shades Darker was my favorite of the three and now reading it again I have to say that still holds true. This is the book where I really fell in love with Christian Grey and with this story. The first book really does a great job of setting things up but this is the book, for me, where things really happen and their relationship is taken to a whole other level. There are some huge breakthroughs and it’s really something to see how far both Christian and Ana come in terms of personal growth and also as a couple. She doesn’t know the depth of my depravity, the darkness in my soul, the monster beneath – maybe I should leave her alone. I’m not worthy of her. She can’t love me. But even as I think the words, I know that I don’t have the strength to stay away from her…if she’ll have me.” For much of this book Christian and Ana are in a good place. Christian exorcised a lot of his demons in the last book so he was much more open and freer with showing his love for Ana throughout much of this book. One of my favorite “shades of Christian”, playful Christian, made many appearances in this book so that was a lot of fun to read. Of course ever the mercurial one, he still dealt with his control issues and these extreme controlling tendencies become even more extreme in this book when Ana’s safety is at stake. This naturally results in some drama and several fights between him and Ana, who is ever the independent one. But I think for the most part they dealt with their issues well and continued to grow and learn each time. I was so exited to see that the set came with extra postcards and the wedding invitation. It was the greatest surprise. In preparation for this release, I re-read Fifty Shades of Grey to re-familiarize myself with the book and the characters. I hadn't had a chance to re-read it before or after watching the movie, and I wanted to make sure I remembered what happened exactly as it did. While it made the scenes a little more repetitive for me to do this, it also was really eye-opening since I got to experience everything from first Anastasia and then Christians minds.

Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty―until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him―past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian's cold, wounded heart. C: And the elevator doors close, leaving my name hanging in the air between us, sounding odd and unfamiliar, but sexy as hell. In Christian's own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled hundreds of millions of readers around the world. Here are some actual examples and how it seems -- to me -- that the bite was removed from the character. The letter *O* means the original story versus *C* for this story. See the world of Fifty Shades of Grey anew through the eyes of Christian Grey. In Christian's own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the world. Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him? This book is intended for mature audiences

Grey gives the die-hard fans exactly what they have been waiting for (some of us years) a chance to revisit their favourite story and characters and finally see and experience both sides of the story. I loved it, every single moment, I will happily recommend it to anyone and everyone who is a fan of this series, it’s a must read for all 50 fans! EL James has just given us yet 1000 more reasons to fall in love all over again. Her quirky writing style is present in Grey and even though some critics will more than likely vehemently disagree with me, I’ve become addicted to the unconventional and unique way she approaches and carries out a story. Emotional, haunting, funny, overwhelmingly sexy and impossibly addictive Grey met my every expectation and even gave me just a bit more. O: She has a small, sweet face that is blushing now, an innocent pale rose. I wonder briefly if all her skin is like that -- flawless -- and what it would look like pink and warmed from the bite of a cane. F---. (italics) I stop my wayward thoughts, alarmed at their direction. What the f --- are you thinking, Grey? (italics) This girl is much too young. (italics) She gapes at me, and I almost roll my eyes again. Yeah, yeah, baby, it's just a face, and the beauty is only skin deep. (italics) I want to dispel that unguarded, admiring look from those big blue eyes. Oh I love megalomaniac Christian, too, and control freak Christian, sexpertise Christian, kinky Christian, romantic Christian, shy Christian… the list is endless.” But even with all this explanation, with the clear and well-trod defense of Christian, it’s difficult to understand him. Or rather, it’s difficult to understand why any woman in her right mind would take a chance on him. Where “Fifty Shades” readers could fill the mysterious blank slate of Mr. Grey with their own ideas of what he was thinking, in “Grey” the disturbing truth is revealed. Upon first meeting Ana, Christian must “repress [his] natural annoyance at [her] clumsiness.” When Ana vomits after drinking too much, he attempts to emotionally dominate her on the sidewalk outside the bar, thinking, “Let’s have some fun.” These moments slowly disappear as Ana changes him, teaching him to love, but it is difficult to forget what it is like to be inside “control-freak” Christian’s head. Sample from chapter 11: The only man I've ever been attracted to, and he comes with a bloody contract, a flogger, and a whole world of issues. Well, at least I got my way this weekend. My inner goddess stops and smiles serenely. Oh yes... She mouths, nodding at me smugly. I flush at the memoryC: She has a small, sweet face that is blushing now, an innocent pale rose. I wonder briefly if all her skin is like that -- flawless -- and what it would look like pink and warmed from the bite of a cane. I just love the way E.L. James writes and I'm never disappointed in her books. I can always re-read them again and again. Ich verstehe, dass die "Fifty Shades" -Bücher für viele Leser eine unterhaltsame Lektüre sind. Aber für diejenigen, die einen höheren Anspruch an die Schreibweise haben, könnten diese Bücher enttäuschend sein. This e-book bundle includes Grey, Darker, and Freed, the Fifty Shades stories in Christian's point of view, which have sold millions of copies and enchanted readers around the world. Always so eager for information, Miss Steele. Whats needs straightening out?" Her skin is soft and warm...
