About this deal

The Celtic Tarot is used for these draws. This fortune telling tool first took off in the sixteenth century in France and is now the most popular one in the world. The first card would become part of the present, the second is positioned perpendicular to the first, with four more cards placed circularly around the first two, taking as a guide the cardinal points, north, south, east and west. To complete the Celtic cross roll, the last four cards will be placed vertically on the right side of the previous ones, one below the other. Symbolisms in the reading of the Tarot of the Celts After you get the results, you will understand your present, what might happen to you in the future, what happens around your world, and pieces of the past that still affects your feelings and emotions today. This exploration of the Welsh-Celtic myth of the prophet/poet Taliesin and the witch/goddess Cerridwen takes the reader on a transformative journey. It introduces them to core Celtic philosophy and magic, then embarks on a powerful, experiential foray into one of Wales’ most profound legends. Readers will gain a deep understanding of the myth that is the heart of Celtic mystery and become well-versed in a magical ritual for successfully working with one of Celtica’s most esteemed goddesses: Cerridwen. In some cases, however, an unclear outcome could warrant another reading. In that case, some recommend taking the Outcome card as the new significator and completing another Celtic Cross Tarot Spread to learn more about it. Others will draw one more clarifying card for insight.

Hey, I have heard that too! I think you can consider both, and see which makes sense in regard to your situation 🙂 Finally, a few words on Paterson’s book itself: it gives a worthwhile introduction to the cards for beginners, but has omissions and errors that will annoy people who have pursued Celtic studies, or Tarot studies, to any degree. Influenced primarily by Robert Graves, whose fertile imagination was the source he consulted most frequently, she tells us earnestly what gestures were made by the druids, that the druids predicted the birth of Christ, how Tarot cards correspond with the Druids’ tree zodiac, and other similar tales. All of this is guesswork at best, willfully misleading at worst. Practically all of Paterson’s references to the beliefs and practices of the Druids are questionable; little was ever recorded of druidic belief and practice, and most of what was written down was from outsiders who knew only rumors.

Although going by the traditional structure and layout of the Celtic cross tarot spread is helpful, Monahan suggests trying out other variations to find one you resonate with. Don’t be afraid to make it your own. “Play around with what each card represents until you find something that feels right,” she says. “If you don’t vibe with the traditional meaning of the card, give it your own take. Filled with insight and practical guidance, As the Last Leaf Falls shows you how to honor family and friends in spirit, discover life-affirming aspects of every state of existence, and move beyond the fear that surrounds death. My name is Eva Delattre and I have been practicing the fortune telling arts for almost 30 years. I wanted to share my knowledge of tarot reading by offering a completely free draw using the 22 Major Arcana of the tarot. However, if you do wish to ground yourself in a specific card, you can do this in a number of ways: The current Celtic card has been inspired by the Waite-Smith tarot, which under the creation of Giacinto Gaudenzi with the Major Arcana and Saverio Tenuta with the Minor Arcana, managed to perfectly represent the Celtic culture, their love for nature, animals and mythology, evidencing in the cards the following kingdoms: mineral, animal and vegetable. The Circle/Cross shows what is going on in the querent’s life at the time of the reading. This section is made up of two crosses – a central one (Cards 1 and 2) nested within a larger cross (Cards 3 to 6). The smaller cross represents the heart of the matter – what is most central to the querent at the time of the reading.
