In Along Came A Spider, Alex Cross is called in to investigate a case with two dead prostitutes and a baby. Not shortly after, Cross finds he has to contend with psychotic math teacher Gary Soneji. Soneji has kidnapped two children and Cross is pulled off the homicide to cover the kidnapping. Soneji strikes again and murders an FBI Agent who has been talking about Soneji on television. Cross scours the apartment and discovers Soneji’s obsession with the kidnappings and his dream of becoming famous as a criminal. What follows is an elaborate game as Soneji’s personality is unraveled and the mission to retrieve the children plays out. In 1997, the novel was adapted into a film starring Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross and Ashley Judd as Kate McTiernan. However on the plus side I very much enjoyed The Horsewoman The Jailhouse Lawyer 2 Sisters Detective Agency The President is Missing and The Pesidents Daughter to name but a few! Reply From the world's #1 bestselling author comes a thrilling new standalone novel where a detective duo of sisters finds themselves in the crosshairs of a dangerous and lawless group. I did not like to read when I was young and in school. But since I started to read your books they are all I read I would love to own them all. I will be handing them down to my son when I’m done with them all. Thanks for being a great author your books always makes me feel like on of the characters in the book. ReplyAs listed above it’s part of the David Shelley series. Unfortunately, as of this time there is only the one book in that series. Reply The Women’s Murder Club series is comprised of a whopping twelve novels. In this series, a group of professional women work together to solve homicide cases. A reporter, an assistant, a medical examiner, and a homicide detective Women’s Murder Club was adapted into a television series for ABC in 2007. Starring Angie Harmon, the show ran for one season and thirteen episodes until its conclusion in 2008. I am a huge fan. I am also a very fast reader. You Mr. Patterson are the only author that has been able to keep up with my reading. I agree with one of your previous fans who said “please no more romance”. You know what your forte is and you are damn good at it. Reply

James please stay away from romance ,mills and boon you are not nor do you do 50 shades of grey in a bookshot, this is not your forte I loved this latest Alex Cross book! For me it felt like one of the early Cross books; the plot was exhilarating and non-stop, the twists never stopped coming and I always enjoy the characters. I am never too keen when plots start to focus too much on the central characters instead of an investigation angle, in this read, the case does focus around Cross and Sampson but in a good way, they are key to the investigation throughout, I enjoyed seeing where it took them and Patterson sets it up well for the next book in the series. your books are the best. love all of them. have read all of the Alex Cross. women’s murder club and all of the Private series. can’t wait for the new ones to come out. thank you for the best reading in the world ReplyI always love reading about m favourite Cross family and this was no different. I particularly enjoyed Bree's storyline in this, she has her own plot thread which starts to cross over with Alex's as the book goes on. Alex Cross is, in my opinion, James Patterson's finest creation and one of my favourite characters of all time. It's more than the crime solving, the suspense and the drama - it's the family as well, the fact that every character gets a story and no-one is wasted. For younger readers, this book alludes to a further 'Ali Cross' novel as well, which excites both my daughter and me - it's lovely for us both to be reading about the same characters, at the same time in their individual adventures. Although this book is part of a long running series I found it easy to read and the story flowed with just enough mention of previous happenings It's no mystery why James Patterson is the world's most popular thriller writer ... Simply put: Nobody does it better. JEFFERY DEAVER Alex Cross is a crime, mystery, and thriller novel series written by James Patterson. I plan on reading “The Perfect Assassin” soon and I’m sure it will be good. I’ve read all previous Doc Savage (128?; 156?; 161?) that I know of so I’m hoping you will write more. Reply Alex Cross's Trial (2009): In this story within a story concept, Alex writes about one of his ancestors, Abraham Cross. This book is action from go to woe. There is never a chance to get bored and there is alot of dead bodies for Alex and Sampson to investigate. And they are being hunted themselves so it is all go.

justed started to read your books and can not put the books down til i finnished them thank you. Reply Have been reading your wonderful books for years, have read a couple twice, may you carry on writing for years to come if only to help your brother Andrew, please stay well Reply A sequel based on Double Cross was in discussion in 2012. [6] [7] [8] Perry was confirmed to reprise his role. [9] However, the film was cancelled after Alex Cross did not perform well at the box office. From start to finish this is a rollercoaster of a ride. Going from Washington to Paris, Mexico to Montana the pace never lets up. Mr Patterson is one of the finest writers of his generation, in my opinion. He manages to weave three stories into one in this novel. Well plotted, with less of the detective side, and more of the action side. The book is well written but I would have preferred to have seen more resolution of the forces at play. In 2012, the novel was adapted into a film, titled Alex Cross, starring Tyler Perry as Alex Cross and Matthew Fox as The Butcher (renamed Picasso in the film). As always the thrill and darkness of death and evil is tempered by the beautiful Cross family and Nana mama's cooking.
