About this deal

Love this generator! I'm playing it alongside Folk Tradition and it sounds like mermaids singing off the shores of Scotland. Very foreboding and moody, so far my favorite pairing. Despite being usually female, originally in Greek art, Sirens were depicted as both male and female, although the male Siren concept virtually became defunct later on. [1]

" "The Imp of the Perverse": Female Crime Writers in Contemporary Scottish Fiction". Fiction, Crime, and the Feminine. Cambridge Scholars Publishing. p.82. ISBN 1443828289. One of the best, most beautiful and relaxing sound of myNoise. I usually don't like trebles but these appease me. I absolutely love Mermaids Calling; this mix makes me feel like the main character in a deep underwater fantasy! Definitely worth the donation!! <3

I've been a patron for a bit because I absolutely adore the quality of the recordings, the diversity of what's offered and I've found some favorite gens I cannot live without and wanted to say thanks. However, I've never tried the magic gens until today. Just beautiful. I feel like I'm in another world. This was precisely what I needed right now. It’s a lovely piece of theatre that’ll leave its audience in a trance, while possessing enough loopy visual brio to ensure adults have a swimming time too.’ In real-life Greek mythology, Sirens were depicted as half-women, half-bird creatures, but the concept of a Siren with a fishtail like all mermaids became popular in recent history. The sounds of this Magic Generator coalesce to form one amazing and soothing atmosphere. I'm a digital artist, and this really helps me focus and create art. The sounds of the singing, the whispering, the soft and mystical noises... It's all so amazing. Every time I listen to this I hope to hear the sirens. Sometimes I don't hear their voices, and sometimes I do. It's magical.

Mermaid sightings in the UK are often attributed to seals and superstition, but that’s not the whole story. The folk of the sea – both feared and revered – are an entrenched part of British folklore. It’s time to talk about how mermaid mythology still exerts a tidal pull on this windswept island. Mermaid’s Pool is particularly unusual in that it is a saltwater inland lake, not a freshwater one. The ancient Celts used to conduct water rituals there, for its water is said to have healing qualities, and the water gushing from its nearby waterfall appears to flow upwards on a windy day. Folklore has it that the mermaid still visits her pool once a year, and if you visit its dark waters at midnight on Easter, you may see her. If she looks fondly on you, she may grant you immortality. Be warned, though. She may as readily succumb to the darkness of her kelpie nature and pull you into the waters to drown. Kim, Julie (10 January 2014). "Neither Victim nor Vixen". This article is about the 1995 crime novel. For the 2005 historical novel, see Dilly Court. First edition (publ. HarperCollins) Carry out a role-play activity at the point when Sam Sly asks the mermaid to join his circus. Should she go? What are the pros / cons of joining? A mermaid’s physiology is as complicated as she is. Mermaid myths run as deep as the oceans they come from. Entwined in Britain’s folklore for centuries, mermaid sightings are by no means confined to coastal shores. Following the rivers upstream, mermaids have made homes for themselves in Britain’s lakes and pools, which are named after them to this day.

In the fictional English city of Bradfield, men are being abducted and tortured to death using brutal medieval techniques. The bodies are then found in areas frequented by gay men and women. The police reluctantly recruit a criminal profiler, Dr. Tony Hill. He joins forces with Detective Inspector Carol Jordan, for whom he develops complicated romantic feelings. Dr. Tony Hill has problems of his own, including a mysterious woman named Angelica who frequently calls him for phone sex. As Tony becomes increasingly involved in the investigation, it becomes apparent that the killer is seeking Tony as the next victim. The killer is revealed to be the anonymous caller Angelica, a transgender woman who kills men that do not return her affections. When kidnapped, Tony figures out her weakness (her desire to be loved) and uses it to avoid being tortured and murdered. The Mermaids Singing ( 1995) is a crime novel by Scottish author Val McDermid. [1] The first featuring her recurring protagonist, Dr. Tony Hill, [2] it was adapted into the pilot episode of ITV1's television series based on McDermid's work, Wire in the Blood, starring Robson Green and Hermione Norris.

This one soothed me. I get headaches at work from stress and allergies. As soon as I started listening to this my headache faded. Thank you so much for putting this together.

How many different patterns can you see in the illustrations. Can you try to recreate some of these… or use them in your own artwork?I pair Mermaids Calling with Healing Water and I am obsessed! This combination is ethereal but still feels like it exists somewhere on Earth. I feel like I've been transported to an oasis from my dreams, and I am able to release tensions and allow my mind to think freely.
