About this deal
You would likely need a small cable like the one from StarTech, pictured below, to convert from laptop optical drive to desktop SATA wiring. Fractal started selling their Node 804 case a good number of years ago, and won the praise of reviewers over time.
Front (right chamber) - 240 mm radiator configurations up to 60 mm thick (with fans) and 278 mm tall are allowed. You’ll want to note that the easiest intake path is from the lower 1/3 along the front, while the fans ship in the “high” position where the hottest components will likely reside in the case. With the flexibility to serve as media hubs, gaming stations, or file servers, the Node brings the full PC experience into the common space with style.
The dual chamber layout in the Node 804 separates hot running components from the cooler ones and allows for unrestricted airflow over the motherboard, processor and graphics card. On the power supply and drive side of the Node 804, the drive cages are easily removed after removing the ever-present thumbscrews. It may be showing its age slightly, but Fractal hasn’t yet seen the need to refresh it and we agree with this stance.
It offers an overall great package, especially from a size perspective, and will handle more than enough total hard drives for most users.
in the front of the case we can see another included fan and the fan controller which is easily removed by taking out 2 screws if it is not required.
